Interviews with top managers: Matteo Lunelli, Ferrari Trento President and CEO and IFBM Patron

This Summer ESCP Turin Campus launched a contest among its incoming students: to propose questions they would like to ask their programme Patron during the Opening Ceremony, which took place in September 2020.

Among those who sent the most interesting contributions, we selected one student per programme. Many incoming IFBM students participated in the contest. Valentine Bareth, ESCP’s Master in Food and Beverage Management student, sent engaging questions and was invited to attend the Opening Ceremony in person, meet the Programme Patron Matteo Lunelli, Ferrari Trento President and CEO, and interview him.

Cantine Ferrari, founded in 1902 in Trento by Giulio Ferrari, is Italy’s leading metodo classico winery. The Lunelli family, which has run it since 1952, controls every phase of production, from the soil to the table. The Trentino terrain is cultivated with passion and respect thanks to sustainable mountain agriculture.

Valentine Bareth asked Matteo Lunelli what the most required skills in the F&B industry are, how the Covid-19 crisis impacted the whole sector and much more.

During the opening ceremony of the new Academic Year in Turin, four top managers, who share ESCP’s principles and mission, welcomed the new students online with inspirational speeches about “The Choice”. This was the theme of the speeches of our patrons, who were called on to give their contribution on four key topics for the Business School – Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation, Intercultural Management and Sustainability.

ESCP Business School invited Marco Bulgheroni, Electrolux Senior Vice President Global Product Category Food Preparation, patron of the Bachelor in Management; Mauro Giacobbe, Facile.it President and CEO, patron of the Master in Management; Matteo Lunelli, Ferrari Trento President and CEO, patron of the Master in International Food & Beverage Management; and Donatella Pinto, Comau Head of Human Resources and FCA Group Head of Global Learning, patron of the MBA in International Management.

The event was moderated by Francesco Venuti, Academic Director of the Master in International Food and Beverage Management and the event was streamed with a new “phygital” format: students attended the event in total safety from home, and enjoyed the guests’ speeches on ESCP’s YouTube channel. Prof. Léon Laulusa, Directeur Général adjoint, Executive Vice-President and Dean for Academic and International Affairs, with the President of the Turin Campus Prof. Francesco Profumo and the Dean Prof. Francesco Rattalino, introduced the theme of the event and welcomed patrons and students.

If you missed the live event, you can catch up on YouTube.
